CON VINK MANAGER

Con completed his formal education in his home state of Queensland. After 19 years with a medium-sized civil and structural consulting engineering firm in Brisbane, he joined a large international consultancy in 1996 as a senior civil engineer. Con was soon promoted to manager of the department, then relocated to Sydney and rose to the position of global civil technical principal. Con’s experience working with Paul and Raja (Smart Structures) led him to join their team and establish Smart Civil Pty Ltd.

Con has wide national and international civil engineering expertise. His specialist fields are sub-division design, industrial pavements and complex urban drainage problems, specialising in flood management. Con has applied his belief that civil engineers should be generalists to his personal life, and has an array of interests.
